These look good to me Terry. Perhaps add that the outer lettering needs to be visible. As far as axles are concerned, we need to start with stock axles and can modify them. I think it would be a disadvantage against aftermarket axles, however, I'm not sure that everyone else would want to roll on Awana axles...... or if it is even enforceable to require them.

I still am good with the Rules he has. All our cars can race under those rules.
Add outside lettering. Add stock axles. Would even up the playing field a little bit, but not required for us to show up.
The Awana races we ran "Wheels rub wood" means just that. No paint, CA, nail polish.... We did run shields as suggested in discussion with larger center holes on a couple setups.
Ryan and I both run our kids cars with polished CA in our local and regionals so that will not be taken out. And shields is a possibility too. Especially west side regionals. The big thing in a nut shell is making sure an existing Traditional Awana class car doesn’t have to take anything off, remove anything or swap wheels to be legal here at APR. Or make any changes other than being able to choose to add something if they want to be more competitive. That’s pretty much it in a nutshell.

I don't understand the AWANA rules. I have a copy of the AWANA Grand Prix State Championship Race Rules - Michigan as of March 13, 2019. Rule 3. The car design may be enhanced by the addition of other stable materials such as plastic or metal. Any additions must be firmly attached and meet Car Size Requirements. Rule 4. No part of the car body may protrude in front of the starting peg. Rule 5. The following items are prohibited: A. Springs B. Starting devices or propellants C. Electronic or lighting devices must be turned off during racing D. Liquids, wet paint, sticky substance, oil, or powders of any kind (other than axle lubtrication) E. Glass or excessively fragile parts F. Wheel bearings, wheel bushings, wheel washers G. Loose objects on car H. Magnets
No mention of wheel having to rub on wood body. So my cars are illegal for APR but I can run at the State championships. Fred
