Hi Terry,
No arguments with anything you have posted.
I'd like to bring up one idea for consideration. While the points system is great, it really favors is racers who compete in each and every race. (I understand and appreciate that methodology, and admit the importance of that methodology.) What seems puzzling to me is that there may be a mid-season racing entrant or a regular race entrant who is prevented from attending a race due to weather issues, who actually finishes one of the regular season race events on the podium (in the top three), but because of overall point totals may be excluded from the MOG race in Nov. While I'm not asking for a rule change, I'm wondering if it might be worth discussing the addition of a "MOG wildcard" entry for a racer who has BOTH made the podium (top three places) during any of the regular season races AND who has a per race average point total that puts them within the per race average point total of the top ten MOG qualifying racers? I admit that this idea isn't flawless, but without it, we may be denying a top three place race finisher (very fast racer) from the MOG race because of a full season attendance issue. I'm OK with your decision either way.

Harvey, Great point......every year after MOG finals, APR ask members for input for the up coming season on ways to improve league racing at APR, what ever that maybe, rules, classes, wheels, etc.
APR we take those ideas and try to implement them....so hold that thought until then!
